This work explores identity as an evolving question rather than a fixed answer. At its centre, a bird emerges from the silhouette of a homeland, its form bending into a question mark—symbolising the spiritual and ancestral inquiry that lives within each of us. The bird represents consciousness, transformation, and the soul’s desire to rise, not away from its roots, but directly through them.

The surrounding concentric rings and dense dot patterns reflect cycles of time, cosmic energy, and the infinite layers of memory that shape who we become. Rendered in stark monochrome, the piece invites stillness and introspection, allowing the viewer to confront their own relationship to ancestry, purpose, and becoming. This is not a work that seeks to resolve identity—it honours the sacred act of questioning itself.
