Ile Obinrin O Kin PE Su
ile-obinrin

This yoruba proverb ”ILE OBINRIN O KIN PE SU”, is traditionally used to pressure women into marriage, citing the biological clock and the fear of “running out of time.” My painting shifts the narrative. It’s a friendly reminder, not a judgment. It asks every woman to look at the reality of her own time, not with panic, but with self-awareness.
We confront the traditional urgency and transform it into deliberate self-possession. The power is in knowing the truth, then choosing your own rhythm.
